Senior Design Day
Senior Design Competition (SDC)
Participation in SDC is required for all students ending Senior Design in Winter 2026 across all CECS (College of Engineering and Computer Science) departments.
Teams from Summer and Fall 2025 are invited to attend.
Each team will have access to:
Large monitor for electronic poster.
Display table and power.
Additional display requests are subject to approval.
3-Minute Pitch Competition
Students enrolled in Senior Design 1 in Winter 2026 across all CECS departments are required to participate in the 3-minute pitch competition.
Teams prepare a one-slide poster and verbally summarize their project in a compelling way.
Judging
All teams will be evaluated by judges from industry and faculty.
Senior Design 1 Teams: Pitch Competition in front of a panel of three (3) industry judges.
Senior Design 2 Teams: Poster and Prototype Presentation. Each team will be evaluated by 3 industry/faculty judges.
Awards and Ceremony
Teams that are recognized will be called to the stage, given their awards (certificates and monetary), and have pictures taken.

Best in Department Awards (one per department).
Honorable Mention Awards (one per department)
Best in College Award (one in the college)
