Senior Design Competition (SDC)

• Participation in SDC is required for all students ending Senior Design in Winter 2026 across all CECS (College of Engineering and Computer Science) departments. 

• Teams from Summer and Fall 2025 are invited to attend.

• Each team will have access to:

  • • Large monitor for electronic poster.

    • Display table and power.

    • Additional display requests are subject to approval.

3-Minute Pitch Competition

• Students enrolled in Senior Design 1 in Winter 2026 across all CECS departments are required to participate in the 3-minute pitch competition.

• Teams prepare a one-slide poster and verbally summarize their project in a compelling way.

Judging 

All teams will be evaluated by judges from industry and faculty.

• Senior Design 1 Teams: Pitch Competition in front of a panel of three (3) industry judges.

• Senior Design 2 Teams: Poster and Prototype Presentation. Each team will be evaluated by 3 industry/faculty judges.

Awards and Ceremony

Teams that are recognized will be called to the stage, given their awards (certificates and monetary), and have pictures taken.
